Why I coach

Since 2019, I have been working as a freelance business consultant, coach and facilitator. Making this career transition has allowed me to combine my professional expertise with my interest in people development and wellbeing. My background as a female leader helps me to relate to clients in similar positions and support them during times of uncertainty and change in their professional and/or personal life. My approach is compassionate and focuses on enabling my clients to make those choices that will allow them to flourish in all aspects of their life. I have a passion for promoting wellbeing and regularly facilitate experiential coaching workshops and mindfulness training.

Qualifications

I recently completed a Master in Coaching and Mentoring Practice at Oxford Brookes Business School with distinction. I am a member of the Association of Coaching and an accredited EMCC senior practitioner. I qualified as a mindfulness teacher with the renowned Oxford University Mindfulness Foundation in 2020. My first degree is in economics and computer science. I am bi-lingual in German and English and have a good understanding of Spanish. Working and living in different countries, such as Thailand, has informed my cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Leadership coaching: Working with Eike has been an extremely positive experience. My team has been through a huge amount of change over the past year, and regular sessions with Eike have helped me work through challenges as they arose, and also reflect back on progress and celebrate success.  Eike is a fantastic listener and asked great questions – with just the right amount of challenge – to help me clarify my objectives, make a plan and see it through. Due to Eike’s help and advice, I have grown more confident in my leadership role and the benefits have been felt not only by me, but by my team too.

Career coaching: Eike is a warm and friendly person who I found easy to connect with. I felt relaxed in her company and able to open up and ask questions which would support my decision making. We had regular sessions which helped me plan ahead for my career and get ready for the next step. I found the coaching experience very helpful, and it gave me time to reflect and space to think about what I wanted. I would highly recommend Eike for coaching.

Career and life coaching: As a doctor, career transitioning and relocating to Thailand were one of the biggest and toughest decisions I had to make. Eike supported me through this challenge by focusing on my core values and exploring the consequences of potential decisions through role play. These activities provided me with invaluable insights that I found helpful within and outside my professional life. I found Eike’s coaching sessions to be personalised and extremely supportive, and I will always refer back to the resources whenever I am faced with a decisional challenge.

Workshop facilitation and education: Eike has successfully run a number of experiential workshops for Master students in Coaching/Mentoring and Human Resources at Oxford Brookes University, focusing on the role of mindfulness in coaching and in the workplace. Eike is a very experienced and compassionate facilitator who created a safe space for the participants that allowed them to collaboratively learn and share their experiences. The content of her workshops provides deep experiential learning, which is substantiated by science and research. I would highly recommend Eike as an educator and facilitator.
